• Understand key components of virtual patient care and its role in modern healthcare practice.
• Learn how to conduct thorough virtual assessments using structured history-taking, observational skills, and patient-reported information.
• Identify common challenges in virtual assessments and apply practical strategies to enhance accuracy, patient engagement, and clinical decision-making.
About the Speaker:
After working as a Pediatric Registered Nurse for over 30 years, Erin completed her Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Diploma at the University of Ottawa in 2014. Since becoming an NP, she has provided care to diverse populations, including individuals living with HIV, street-involved youth, refugees, new Canadians, and veterans with PTSD. Erin transitioned to virtual care in 2018, well before the pandemic made telemedicine a fundamental part of healthcare.
