ECG Interpretation Course

Why attend?

The 12-lead ECG is one of the most common tests ordered in primary care, and one of the easiest to misread. The ECG Interpretation Course builds a systematic approach one layer at a time, from the fundamentals to the findings you can’t afford to miss, with expert cardiology faculty.

Each session is interactive, with live polling, practice tracings, and dedicated time for live Q&A. Join us live on Thursdays from March 4 to 25, 2027, 7 to 9 PM ET, or watch the recordings anytime on demand.

Meet your instructors

Learn from 2 cardiology NPs who bring extensive clinical and teaching experience, with a focus on helping you apply ECG interpretation in practice.

Rodolfo (Rody) Pike, MN, NP | Sessions 1 and 2
Rody practises in a busy heart function clinic in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. As a former clinical educator for cardiology and the cardiac catheterization lab, he developed and taught 12-lead ECG courses. He also contributes to the Canadian Heart Failure Guidelines and co-chairs the Canadian Heart Failure Society’s Nursing and Allied Health Committee.

Julie Kim, MN, NP | Sessions 3 and 4
Julie brings more than 25 years of acute and outpatient cardiology experience, including roles at St. Michael’s Hospital and the Regional Cardiac Care Centre in Kitchener. She now practises in outpatient cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation, teaches coronary care and arrhythmia courses at Humber College, and speaks nationally on cardiovascular care.
