About the Speaker
Dr. Marissa Olubukola Joseph is double board-certified in pediatrics and dermatology and an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto. She completed medical school at Dalhousie University, postgraduate training at the University of Toronto, and an MSc in Community Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Dr. Joseph is the Medical Director of the Ricky Kanee Schachter Dermatology Centre at Women’s College Hospital and also works at the Hospital for Sick Children, where she manages children with complex dermatologic disease and pediatric laser treatments. She is the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity Lead for the Division of Dermatology at the University of Toronto and has received multiple teaching awards in medical education. Her clinical and research interests include complex inflammatory skin disorders, genodermatoses, and equity, diversity, and inclusivity.
Accreditation
NP Circle is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This activity is accredited for 1.0 ANCC contact hour, including approximately 0.25 pharmacology hours. Final pharmacology hours will be confirmed once session planning is complete.
